Newsletter 2007

With the housing market getting worse instead of better Jonathan is still taking a break from real estate. He is still at Citizens Bank and in October was promoted to an Online Banking Tech (beating out about 15 other people who applied from within the company). He still feels he may get back into real estate, but seeing as this downturn looks like it might last for a few years he is making the most of his opportunities with Citizens.

Lisa has really gotten into 3d computer art whole hog this year, along with digital scrapbooking. So much so that she has an online store to sell some of her creations. She also has an ebay store where she sells stuffed animals and other assorted things. She has nearly sold out of three huge boxes of plush, stuffed toys that she bought wholesale.
All of the pets are doing well. Sandy is almost ready for the big leagues, he has really improved catching those line drives and outfield flies in the backyard. His goal keeping skills in kitchen soccer have really taken off. LOL And of course he can still get the light to come out from its hiding place under the fridge when he whines at us, and then he chases it all around the kitchen just like he did when we first got him. He still hasn't caught it yet, but loves to keep trying. All in all though, he is starting to outgrow quite a bit of his "puppy-ness".
Tipper is lucky she has Sandy for a friend because she is just so rude to all the other dogs in the neighborhood. She barks like crazy whenever one walks by the house.

Elsa has found a new perch from which to observe her kingdom and all of her subjects. She lounges beside anyone who sits at the computer so she can watch out the sliding glass doors and keep an eye on both dogs and Misty.
Speaking of whom, Misty is almost over her usual winter cold, and the blues she gets when the weather first changes and is now bugging everyone to play with her... the little pain. Oh and she has taken to "gnawing" on Sandy's fur at times, especially if she wants to play and he doesn't want to. It doesn't seem to hurt him, she just sort of nibbles on his fur not his skin. He just gives her a dirty look and goes back to napping. She is very weird...
Our nine year old niece, Tabitha, visited last spring for a week. Lisa's sister lives in upstate NY so we met them about halfway in Brattleboro, VT to pick her up. She has never lived near the water so we took her to South County to collect shells and walk along the beach, we all made necklaces from the shells we collected. We also went to Mystic Aquarium, the Children's Museum, and Chuck E. Cheese. But I think her favorite thing was going to the little park at the school down the street from our house. She is very full of energy. We made taco's at home one night, and she taught Jonathan how to play Crash Bandicoot on Playstation. We also watched movies and played with the dogs a lot. All and all we were quite exhausted by the end. But, we had a great time and are hoping she will visit again this spring. We met up with her parents in Brattleboro again for the return trip, but on the way we went through NH so that Lisa's Aunt Sis could spend an afternoon with Tabby. She hadn't seen her since Tabby was two years old, so she really enjoyed meeting her.
