Jane has been training to be a lady-in-waiting, but a lady is the last thing she wants to be. Jane wants to be a knight, a Knight of the King?s Guard. She?s confident, capable with a ?can do? attitude. She?ll stand up to anyone, but Jane is no tomboy; she can dance and sing and be quite lovely ? but only when no one is looking.

Dragon is 300 years-old. He was born in a cave with no mother or dragonmaster in sight so he had to teach himself how to fly and do other dragon things ? which is why he?s so childlike and naïve. As a young dragon he was kept as a pet and traded many times before escaping. He learned how to speak and stay away from adult humans. After years he finally set out on a mission to find a master and to discover more about the history of dragons. A little Dragon Lore: The methane that builds up from eating vegetation is stored in a dragon?s stomach. This is why Dragon is light enough to fly and also why he can breathe fire. But he?d better watch out; too much flaming causes flight loss and too little flaming makes him too light. Getting it just right is like controlling a hot air balloon.
